Mrs. Yario

Hello and welcome to our 2nd grade website! My name is Mrs. Yario, previously, Ms. Comin. This will be my 17th year teaching at Ivy Hall! Believe it or not, I actually went to Ivy Hall as a student (when it was a middle school). I currently live in Palatine with my husband John. We have a daughter named Ruby and a dog named Rambo.

I attended Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood. During college I was part of the Illinois State Dance company as well. Dance and music have always been a huge passion of mine. After college I received a masters in Teaching and Education along with an ESL endorsement.

I am looking forward to an exciting year in 2nd grade! Your child is going to grow and learn so much this year! Students will develop their reading, writing and language skills. They will expand their math skills as we participate in whole group and small group activities. Explorations are a key component of our math and science units as well. I look forward to sharing these experiences as we learn and grow together!
