Ms. Wright

Hello, second graders and families!

Welcome back to school! I'm excited to have you join our classroom for a year full of learning, growth, and many core memories :) As we step into the classroom together, allow me to share a little about myself with you.
I’ve been part of Ivy Hall and teaching 2nd grade for four years now! Before that, I taught at The Cove School for six years and loved being part of their community. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University—Go Panthers!—and I’m currently working toward my Master’s degree at NIU. Learning is a lifelong journey, even for teachers. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my large family. We find plenty of reasons to gather, and I really value those moments together. This summer I traveled to Spain and explored Barcelona! The art around the city was truly beautiful. I can't wait to hear how you've spent your summer.

Before stepping into our classroom, I want you to know it is a special place, and this year we’ll celebrate what makes each of us unique. We’ll build a kind, supportive community where everyone feels safe, included, and excited to learn. We’ll make mistakes, try again, cheer each other on, and grow together every day.

Parents, you are a vital part of your child’s education. I’m committed to maintaining open communication about your child’s progress to keep a strong connection between home and school. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns throughout the year! Email is the best way to reach me. I look forward to meeting you all at Meet the Teacher and kicking off an amazing second grade year!
